Former Azamara and Scenic UK boss Richard Twynam has taken up a new role with Travelopia.
In a post on LinkedIn, Twynam said he would become managing director of some of the firm’s education businesses in the new year, following a handover period with the current MD.
He said: “Pleased to say that I have started an exciting new role: managing director for some of the education businesses within Travelopia including Skibound, Travelbound, Edwin Doran Sports and JCA.”
He added: “[I am] learning the business from the current MD over the next few months and will be taking the reins in the new year.”
Twynam left his role as Scenic Group UK & Ireland managing director in April after six months in the job.
Prior to his role at Scenic Group, Twynam held freelance and part-time roles in travel and was previously UK, Ireland and EMEA managing director for Azamara.
