Fred Holidays launches Brahmaputra cruise-and-stay packages

Fred Holidays has introduced three new cruise-and-stay packages combining the Brahmaputra river with luxury stays in India’s Golden Triangle and visits to national parks.

All three packages include a seven-night Brahmaputra cruise in Assam, India, onboard the 46-guest MV Mahabaahu (pictured).

The cruise is from Jorhat to Guwahati and includes an Assam tea-tasting and moonlit barbeque; a visit to Mishing village and wildlife spotting; a day in Kaziranga National Park to spot one-horned rhino, Asiatic wild elephants, water buffalo, Bengal tigers and leopards; and Peacock Island, the smallest inhabited river islet in the world.

A 15-night Luxury Golden Triangle & Brahmaputra River Cruise holiday featuring Delhi, Agra and the Taj Mahal, Jaipur, and the cruise, costs from £4,295 per person.

A special departure of the holiday coincides with the colourful Holi festival, which celebrates good triumphing over evil. One of the highlights of this trip will be a visit to a local home to celebrate the Holi festival.

It departs on March 5, 2023, with prices from £4,395.

A 17-night The Golden Triangle, Ranthambore Safari & Brahmaputra River Cruise holiday also features Delhi, Agra, the Taj Mahal and Jaipur, as well as two nights in Ranthambore including two safaris in search of tigers.

It is priced from £4,795.

The holidays include travel around India, airport transfers and international flights from London.
