Gold Medal has appointed Sarah Lancashire as marketing director for the trade-only tour operator and its specialist brands.
She will report directly to managing director, Simon Applebaum, and manage inhouse campaigns, partnerships and studio teams which produce marketing collateral for agents selling Gold Medal, Cruise Plus, Pure Luxury and Incredible Journeys.
Lancashire will also develop the company’s portfolio of marketing tools for agents, after the launch of the Gold Medal social media toolkit in January.
She replaces Kerry Gallagher, who moved to Silver Travel Advisor in December.
Applebaum said: “I’m delighted that Sarah is joining the team in such a crucial role and excited by her vision for our marketing support to the travel trade.
“She inherits a fantastic team with huge experience, and I’m convinced that her vision and creative approach will see us develop many new ways to support agents with retailing quality, protected holidays.”
Lancashire spent four years with Carrier Holidays and most recently a two-and-a-half-years spell as brand and marketing manager at cruise and tour specialist Scenic.
She commented: “I am eager to continue to provide the exceptional marketing support to the travel trade that the brand is known for, whilst developing new ways to enhance our offering to our valued agents.”
