Inghams adds 44 ski properties for this winter

Inghams has added 44 hotels and chalets across 25 ski resorts for winter 2022-2023.

The tour operator’s new programme includes 11 new properties in Austria, three in Switzerland, 19 in France, five in Lapland and one in Canada.

New to the Austria collection are two catered chalets in St Anton and nine hotels across the resorts of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Sölden, St Johann, Obergurgl and Zurs.

In Switzerland, hotels in Mürren and Grindelwald are new, plus an apart-hotel in Zermatt, aimed at self-catering families.

The 19 new properties in France feature across the resorts of Alpe d’Huez, Courchevel, Les Arcs, Les 2 Alpes, Mongenevre, Serre Chevalier, Tignes and La Plagne, while the three-star Hotel Aava in Whistler has been added in Canada.

The five new properties in Lapland are cabins and hotels in Levi, Saariselkä and Ylläs.

In addition, new flight and accommodation packages now offered by Inghams for this winter.

They include seven nights at Hotel Chalet du Lys in Gressoney, Italy, including flights from Manchester and transfers, from £969, and seven nights at the Ylläsrinne Cabins in Ylläs, on the edge of the Pallas-Yllas National Park, from London Gatwick, from £1050 based on two adults sharing half board, with flights and transfers included. The latter is aimed at couples or small families. Guests can choose their own lodge.

Inghams chief executive Joe Ponte said: “In recent weeks we have continued to see ski booking numbers ahead of where we expected them to be, but there are still deals to be had on our December 2022 ski trips including Christmas and New Year weeks.”

The operator’s winter programme covers seven countries Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, Canada, Andorra and Lapland – with flights out of 16 airports and available with deposits of £150.

Half price ski hire or carriage is offered on charter flights when lift passes are pre-booked with Inghams. The operator is also offering a ‘buy one lift pass and get another half price’ in Val d’Isere and Tignes on selected dates in January, February and March, saving £78 per person.

The operator’s online Covid-19 hub is still available with up-to-date information on entry requirements, in-resort regulations and details of the operator’s flexible booking policies, discounts for UK test suppliers and its In Safe Hands promise, which provides protection for consumers booking with the operator.

Inghams chief operating officer John Mansell added: “After two Covid-hit winter seasons, we continue to offer guests our ‘In Safe Hands’ policy. We will look after you and your money, make sure you have someone at the end of the phone to speak to and provide the reassurance to make a ski holiday booking for this coming season.”
