InteleTravel has enjoyed its second-best month since being launched in the UK six years ago.
The travel agency group said February, traditionally a slower period, had become its second-highest revenue earning month in the UK after a record January.
Overall revenue was up 47% for the group’s UK business compared with the same month last year, with average booking values up 5.5%.
The group reported strong long-haul bookings but said a surge in European sales, thanks to rising temperatures in the Mediterranean, had accelerated the increase in February revenues.
UK and Ireland managing director Tricia Handley-Hughes put the growth down to the group’s robust relationships with key suppliers and their continuous content and support last month.
“February has been an astonishing month,” she said, adding: “The first quarter has proved immensely busy for our 2024 Partner Engagement Programme, and with plans in place for 2024, we predict our suppliers will be reaping the rewards of the collaboration.”
