Travel Village Group brings early Christmas joy to families

Travel Village Group is bringing some early Christmas joy to more than a hundred children booked to go to Lapland this year.

Christmas fever has already taken over at the head offices of its homeworking group Holiday Village where its ‘elves’ are busy assembling festive goodie bags following its success last year.

Care team administrators Aisha Holmes and Olivia Jackson have put together gift bags for 116 children due to meet Santa this year in Lapland on holidays booked through its homeworking agents and the group’s Blackpool retail store Travel Village. Last year 99 children received similar packs for the first time.

Holmes said: “It’s amazing to be part of something that brings families so much joy.”

Jackson added: “We are super excited for all the families going to Lapland at this time of year. We know how important it is to make memories which will last a lifetime and we are so proud to be a part of that.”

The packs are being sent out on special Royal Mail Christmas post services to families who have booked trips to Santa’s Lapland.

They are due to start reaching families this week, prior to their holidays, which range from day trips to four night stays, booked through a range of suppliers, and involve travel across Lapland to Norway, Finland and Sweden to meet Santa.

The goodie bags – filled with holiday-themed sticker books, Santa chocolate lollies, festive pencils, and a personalised letter from Santa – are designed to get children into the Christmas spirit ahead of their trip and make their journey to the North Pole even more special.

They also aim to provide a personal touch from the family-run business and strengthen relationships between the business and its clients.

Operations manager Leah Ormerwood said last year’s Christmas goodie bag initiative by Travel Village Group had helped to retain clients and bring in repeat business.

“It also brings that Christmas joy to our family-run business, which celebrates 65 years in travel this year,” she said.
