Boating holidays provider Le Boat has launched a flight protection policy, guaranteeing a refund for some European flights affected by current aviation disruption.
The policy protects passengers travelling to France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland by plane, for all departures in 2022.
If a customer’s flight is cancelled, the company will guarantee a refund for the part of the Le Boat part of the trip.
Alternatively, if a flight is delayed or arrives late, Le Boat will refund the unused portion of the holiday.
The company said: “Many people have been affected by the recent aviation chaos, whether they’ve had to contend with cancellations, delays and/or lost baggage.
“Therefore, Le Boat has taken it upon itself to give guests travelling to Europe by plane peace of mind this summer.”
Last year, Le Boat appointed Julia Thornhill as head of partnerships and business development, specifically focusing on supporting agents and the company’s tour operator partners.
