Premier Travel is to open a branch in Letchworth, bringing the agency’s portfolio to 26 shops.
The new branch, located in the Garden Square Shopping Centre, was previously a Thomas Cook shop and will open in early July.
Premier Travel Letworth Garden City will be managed by Lucy Clarke, who has been with Premier Travel for eight years and has 21 years’ industry experience. She previously worked for Thomas Cook and Going Places.
Managing director Paul Waters, pictured with Clarke, said plans for the new branch for the East Anglia-based agency chain had already been well received in the area.
He said: “With the team having so much experience we are excited to be able to open a branch in Letchworth. The support from the local community so far has been overwhelming.
“Letchworth Garden City, known for its vibrant independent businesses, is seen as a perfect fit for Premier Travel.
“As one of the main regions for the company and with existing branches within a 10 to 20-mile radius, we look forward to becoming an active member of the local community and contributing to its growth with this new branch.”
The group has already outlined plans to increase the number of its agencies, including its managed service branches.
