Royal Caribbean International will visit more than 1,000 agents over the next five months in its “biggest training tour ever”.
The line has announced a schedule of training sessions aiming to support agents new to the cruise industry, as well as advanced sales training for more experienced agents.
Training manager Kristi Reeser said she hopes the sessions will give agents a deeper understanding of the brand, as well as provide insight into new ships Icon of the Seas (pictured) and Utopia of the Seas which are both scheduled to enter service in 2024.

Royal Caribbean will also offer monthly interactive webinars providing updates and training, as well as ship visits for agents and their families.
“This is the biggest training tour Royal Caribbean has undertaken in recent years,” said Reeser.
“We’re excited to be back on the road, meeting and speaking with travel agents directly and offering training sessions that reflect the fast-paced changes we’re seeing in the cruise industry.
“There’s a huge opportunity out there for travel agents, particularly as we look ahead to 2024 and the new ships we’ll be welcoming to the fleet.
“These training sessions will give agents the chance to find out more about what Icon and Utopia have to offer and all the ways in which guests can enjoy memory-making experiences on board.”
Torey Kings-Hodkin, UK and Ireland head of sales, said: “We invest heavily in our amazing travel agent partners to ensure everyone across the board can access the training they need in order to immerse themselves in the Royal Caribbean brand.
“We have a particular focus on building knowledge amongst the huge number of new starters within the travel sector as it’s essential they have first-hand experience of what a Royal Caribbean cruise has to offer in order for them to bring that to life for guests looking to book an amazing holiday.”
