The Spanish Tourist Office in London has launched a sustainability hub to showcase sustainable tourism initiatives in the country.
The hub is housed on the office’s newsroom platform and includes details of initiatives including the Balearic Islands sustainability tourism tax and Murcia’s new eco-tourism routes.
It is designed to keep media, trade partners and consumers informed of all sustainable activity, and features press coverage, news and videos.
Manuel Butler, director of the Spanish Tourist Office (UK) said: “We are excited to launch our sustainability hub, which is in line with a wider strategic focus to become a more competitive and sustainable tourism destination with a focus on seasonal and geographical diversification as well as economic, social and environmental sustainability.
“We want this platform to also showcase some of the excellent tangible examples of sustainability in action within Spain’s tourism industry.”
The Spanish Tourist Office is the official destination partner for Travel Weekly’s second annual Sustainability Summit, this year taking place on November 24 in central London.
