Adele Youngs has been announced as the new president of the US-based Student & Youth Travel Associations (Syta).
Youngs is the co-founder and director of Live Travel and Tours, a UK company specialising in European tours for performing, cultural and educational groups.
She becomes Syta president as the trade association celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Youngs said she planned to help the association “build back as a kinder, stronger, more diverse and more sustainable travel family” following the Covid-19 shutdown and said she was “committed to engaging with our clients (teachers, students, educators) to re-energise them about travel.”
She added: “It is equally vital that we throw our arms around the student and youth travel industry as a whole and across the world.”
Syta is a non-profit trade association that promotes student and youth travel and “seeks to foster integrity and professionalism among student and youth travel service providers”.
