Thai operator unveils launch discount for agents

A new destination management company in Thailand is marking its launch with a discount offer for travel agents and tour operators.

Tripseed offers tailor-made holidays and small group travel programmes, as well as marketing support.

It is offering an 11% discount on the first three confirmed bookings made between November 11, 2021, and January 30, 2022.

The discount is aimed at small and medium-sized agents and operators in the UK, German, the US and other source markets to encourage package bookings as Thailand opens up to international tourism again.

Tripseed says it aims “to grow travel back better” and will plant a tree for every traveller sent on one of its tours.

Its four founders have experience in various aspects of destination management.

They are Suphawadi Cluckie (June), a German language specialist; Narissara Wongmahawan (Nat), a ground operations expert; Richard Ludwig, who has worked as a global product director at two large DMCs; and Ewan Cluckie, who has experience at marketing director level.

Ewan Cluckie, co-founder of Tripseed, said: “We’re trying to even the playing field for smaller travel sellers. They are trying to carve out their space and stay competitive in a market dominated by the big players.

“We offer them an opportunity to do that.”

He said the independent, locally owned business can ensure its profits remain in the country in which they are earned.

“We are also taking huge strides to improve equality within the region and removing discriminatory practices that have become so accepted and widespread,” he added.

“Our local employees are given the same respect, benefits and growth opportunities as their expat colleagues.”
