Women in Travel and Tourism Forum returns with in-person event

Women in Travel is to hold its annual conference in person for the first time in two years.

The third International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (IWTTF) will take place in London on June 30, following last year’s digital event.

The day-long forum will include a series of moderated sessions and interactive workshops focusing on six main topics of discussion, including female leadership, diversity and inclusion in the travel industry and the role of senior male leaders in helping women progress.

Speakers include Nena Chaletzos, chief executive and founder of Luxtripper, Christina Lawford, chief executive of DiamondAir International and Jo Rzymowska, vice-president and managing director EMEA of Celebrity Cruises.

Intrepid Travel, which helped launch the inaugural forum in 2020, remains a key partner of the event. Additional sponsors include Google and Tui.

Alessandra Alonso, Women in Travel founder and managing director, said: “We are delighted to be giving a first glimpse of the programme for the IWTTF 2022, and are very excited to be welcoming incredibly talented, inspiring and high-profile speakers from whom we can learn and with whom we can discuss some of the most important industry topics of the day.

“We know it will be a fantastic opportunity to reconnect, engage, network and learn from original thinkers and authentic leaders, and we are very grateful to our sponsors for their continued support.”

Zina Bencheikh, managing director EMEA at Intrepid Travel, said: “The work of Women in Travel is very close to my heart and aligned with our values at Intrepid, so I’m delighted that the IWTTF is returning in person this year.

“As travel recovers from the pandemic, it’s vital that our pledges to build back better aren’t forgotten. I’m looking forward to another forum packed with inspiring and important conversations.”
