Alfa Travel abolishes single supplements

Employee-owned coach operator Alfa Travel is abolishing single supplements on 2025 holidays.

The move, covering standard single rooms, means that more than 21,000 will be available for solo travellers with no supplement.

Supplements have been removed from holidays based on in-house Leisureplex Hotels and ‘hand-picked’ preferred partner properties.

Alfa Travel’s solo breaks include a free drink on arrival, accommodation, dinner and breakfast, excursions plus entertainment most evenings.

A new five-day solos break to South Wales and Bristol including excursions to Cardiff and Ross-on-Wye, leads in £399 per person.

A low deposit offer of £25pp applies to solo breaks booked via agents and direct before November 30.

Managing director Emma Russell said: “Whilst solo travel has always been popular for our customers, we have seen huge growth in guests travelling solo in recent years and we now offer a range of coach holiday breaks that are dedicated to solo travellers.

“As well as removing additional charges for single rooms from our 2025 holidays, we have also introduced our cosy doubles room category, exclusively for solo travellers, who like the luxury of a double bed for just £15 per night.

“We have thousands of solo customers who travel with us, many who have made life long friends when they have travelled.”
