The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) has announced its annual conference will be held at the International Convention Centre Wales (September 16-17).
The theme for the two-day event in Newport will be ‘Expect the Unexpected’.
Claire Brighton, Atas director, said: “I’m delighted that we’ll be hosted at ICC Wales. It is a lovely venue in a woodland setting – and is easily accessible from across the UK.
“And I’m excited about our theme, ‘Expect the Unexpected’ as it reflects how we hope to bring unexpected elements to the conference.
“Our agenda and line-up of speakers will encourage agents to think outside the norm.
“Also, the unexpected elements of a touring and adventure holiday are sometimes the most memorable part of the experience.”
She said the conference format has been changed from previous years, with sessions taking place on the main stage on the afternoon of September 16 and morning of September 17.
“This new format will give us time for even more inspiring speakers and informative panels – and allow more time for networking,” said Brighton.
“The conference will see the return of the now-legendary trade fair, and we will also host the Atas Recognition Awards.
“The event will be bigger and better than ever before, and I’m looking forward to meeting agents and members there in September.”
Registration for the event will open soon, along with details of hotels near ICC Wales for delegates.
