Celestyal Cruises to ease Covid measures next year

Celestyal Cruises is to remove its vaccination and pre-departure testing requirements for all passengers sailing from March 1, 2023, unless required by local regulations.

Passengers will also no longer need provide proof of Covid recovery from the same date.

The line encourages guests aged 12 and over to be inoculated against Covid and to take a test prior to travel. Crew will continue to be fully vaccinated.

Chief commercial officer Leslie Peden said: “The health and safety of our guests, crew and the communities we serve is our top priority and we continue to monitor and adjust to the evolving global situation.

“Our crew will continue to maintain our stringent hygiene protocols based upon the most up-to-date guidelines from the European Healthy Gateways, Clia and Greek health authorities.

“We look forward to welcoming all guests for the immersive experience that we are known for and explore the unique destinations of the Greek Islands and Eastern Mediterranean.”

The line added that health and safety measures were “continuously evaluated and adjusted” based on new and updated prevention, therapeutics and mitigation measures.
