Cove UK has unveiled a range of holiday park developments after spending millions as it aims to provide “the ultimate UK staycation experience”.
Money has been spent on Seal Bay in West Sussex, Solway in Cumbria, Hunters Quay in Argyll and Springwood in the Scottish Borders, with the latter opening its doors to holiday guests for the first time this year after previously being an owners-only park.
Operations director Gordon Walker said: “We want to provide the ultimate UK staycation experience for families and friends, whatever they like to do and wherever they want to go.”
He added: “Cove’s 2023 new developments make it even easier for our holiday homeowners and holiday guests to recharge their batteries in the ways they love.”
A total of £8 million has been spent on the Solway site to create a new restaurant, a new bar, a modern arcade and an indoor kids’ play zone. Other upgrades include new showers for the touring site.
The Seal Bay resort in Selsey now boasts a £1.5 million indoor adventure centre called ‘The Dockyard’ featuring climbing walls, golf, bounce nets and play areas.
The Hunters Quay site has a new entertainment venue, described as ideal for evening performances, as well as a new leisure complex – featuring an arcade and a bar – and an indoor adventure centre.
Meanwhile, the investment in Springwood, near Kelso, has seen the creation of a new cafe bar, alfresco area and kids’ playground. The site is opening to holiday guests for the first time this year, Walker said.
The company sells via agents and suppliers such as Hoseasons.
