A special naming ceremony of Princess Cruises’ new ship Enchanted Princess’ will be broadcast globally next month.
The event on December 13 will be screened on the line’s Facebook page, YouTube channel and website.
The 3,660-passenger ship makes its debut today (Wednesday) on the first of 15 ten-night Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale in Florida.
Enchanted Princess will reposition to Europe in April 2022 to run a series of Scandinavian cruises from Copenhagen.
The newcomer represents an evolution of the design platform consistent across sister ships Royal Princess (2013), Regal Princess (2014), Majestic Princess (2017) and Sky Princess (2019).
UK and Europe vice president Tony Roberts said: “The reopening of US borders to fully vaccinated UK travellers means that UK guests can be some of the first to experience our newest ship in the fleet, whilst also enjoying some winter sun in the Caribbean.
“Those who prefer to stay closer to home can also look forward to experiencing this beautiful ship, with Enchanted Princess offering Scandinavian itineraries from spring-time next year.”
Princess Cruises president John Padgett said: “Enchanted Princess is our seventh ship to enter service since the global pause, signifying our successful path forward, with many loyal and new guests ready to sail with us and our teammates ready to deliver meaningful and memorable holidays at an incredible value.”
