Interactive gameshow to launch on new P&O Cruises ship

TV presenter Ben Shephard will virtually star in a new interactive gameshow on P&O Cruises’ incoming ship.

WaveLength, which was created exclusively for P&O Cruises, will take place in Arvia’s Headliner’s Theatre.

In the game, passengers can find out how well they know each other as they try and match their partner’s answers. Another game show called Beat Ben! is also set to feature.

Shephard said: “Having hosted many gameshows on TV, I’m excited to have partnered with P&O Cruises in evolving this prime time-style TV gameshow into a live, interactive theatre experience, WaveLength is designed to be both entertaining and challenging.”

Entertainment company Triple Brew, which has created hit shows such as The Million Pound Cube and Lingo, helped the line develop WaveLength.

The soon-to-launch Arvia will also feature the Take That musical, Greatest Days, as well as an outdoor adventure zone called Altitude, which includes a high-ropes experience set 54 metres above sea level.

Mission Control – exclusive to Arvia – is an “immersive experience” combining an escape game with multimedia simulation and a live-action story, set on a fictional submarine called Arvia II.

Speaking about this attraction, the line said: “The realistic 3D surroundings [of Mission Control] will take guests to the depths of ocean canyons, where they will be able to overcome danger and solve puzzles and problems.”
