Kuoni is on the hunt for an amateur photographer to work in destination as part of a campaign to raise its profile as a honeymoon specialist.
The new ‘dream job’ campaign aims to capture the attention of the younger honeymoon market by using a “fresh approach to marketing and communications”.
The three-week assignment will involve taking shots of couples on honeymoon in four different islands in the Maldives, with the winning candidate paid £2,885.
A panel of judges, including Kuoni managing director Mark Duguid, celebrity wedding photographer Sandra Von Riekoff, and Hitched editor Zoe Burke, will select the successful candidate to become the company’s honeymoon photographer in-residence.

Kuoni director of communications Rachel O’Reilly said: “The campaign is a new approach for us in the way we appeal to younger clients. Couples are taking their inspiration and influence in different ways now and this is about showcasing the Kuoni brand in a way which captures their imagination and grabs attention.”
Currently, honeymoons account for about 20% of the tour operator’s sales.
She added: “Travel agents know Kuoni is a brand they can trust when it comes to booking their clients’ honeymoons and that’s something we want to build on. There will be more activity to come as the year progresses.”
The first all expenses paid assignment will be on the islands of Kuramathi, Kandolhu, Baros and Velassaru this year, with the winner allowed to bring a guest with them. Kuoni said the ideal candidate will have a passion for romance and the ability to frame ‘great moments in every shot’ of couples and the destination.
The operator is urging those who work in the trade to share the campaign with family or friends who would like to apply by the closing date of April 28.
The photography campaign is open to open to any amateur photographers who do not currently make a full-time living out of a photography profession but it does not exclude content creators or photographers who do some paid work.
