The Cuban tourism ministry has launched a consumer and trade marketing campaign, highlighting the unique nature of the island’s attractions and people.
Using the slogan Cuba Unica (Unique) and hashtag #CubaUnica, the promotion highlights the differences between Cuba and other Caribbean destinations.
The tourism campaign is run in partnership with communications agency Disset, which is headquartered in Mallorca, with offices in Cuba and Madrid.
The marketing material will feature the people of Cuba “as ambassadors of the brand”, along with the destination’s unique natural, historic, cultural and gastronomic attactions.
Mayte Suarez Rueda, director of Cuba’s tourist office of in the UK and Ireland, said the campaign aims to show a “hospitable and open Cuba that combines tradition and modernity”.
