Saga Travel adds more tailor-made long-haul options

More long-haul destinations have been added to Saga’s new tailor-made holidays proposition.

Canada, Costa Rica, Mauritius and South Africa have been introduced with rail and road journeys, cruise and fly options, hotels and worldwide car rental.

‘Tailor-Made Travel by Saga’ was announced with Asia and the United Arab Emirates by the over-50s travel and insurance company at its full year results in September.

Saga has partnered with Holland America Line to offer its first cruise and stay options, including Alaska cruises from Vancouver combined with either independent or guided tours through the likes of the Canadian Rockies and Alaska’s Denali National Park.

A new partnership with Cruise Canada motorhomes with itineraries built by Saga delivers a range of road trips.

Twenty hotels have added to Saga’s Asia holidays range in the last month, including Khao Lak and Koh Yao Noi in Thailand.

Other new options include city breaks and stop-overs in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore; new private tours in Laos, Cambodia and Northern Vietnam, and a  spa retreat in Bali

More destinations are set to be added, along with more tour, hotel, cruise and stay, rail and road journeys.

Saga Travel Group chief executive John Constable said: “We expect these latest tailor-made travel options to prove extremely popular with customers who we know love to explore and see the best a region has to offer, with the knowledge and expertise of a brand like Saga behind them.

“These new holidays include some incredible experiences such as coastal road trips in Canada, wildlife tours in Costa Rica, luxury rail journeys across South Africa, and beautiful beach holidays in Mauritius.

“They join our already launched range of tailor-made trips to Asia and the Middle East and we’re looking forward to rolling out more exciting destinations and experiences between now and the end of the year.”
