Simpson Travel bids to double trade sales with dedicated agent brochure

A dedicated agent-friendly brochure has been issued by Simpson Travel as part of an enhanced commitment to the trade for 2022.

The launch by the independent villa and boutique hotel operator is being supported by new product training sessions as well as regular email updates and a closed Facebook group for product updates and promotions.

The move comes as the company, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, aims to double trade bookings in 2022.

Head of trade sales Hannah Naylor-Vane said: “Whilst all our sales team are fully trained to take agent bookings, I’m delighted to be leading on trade relationships at Simpson Travel.

“For 2022, I’ve introduced a number of trade friendly initiatives, including the dedicated brochure and training sessions and we will be offering 10% commission on all holidays – on both packages and accommodation only bookings – throughout the season.

“We appreciate the value that our agents bring, with their expert knowledge, commitment to customer service and trusted relationships with clients very much reflecting our own values.

“We are looking to double our trade bookings over the coming year, and I look forward to working with our agent partners and developing relationships into the future.

“There are further agent-friendly developments in the pipeline – including a trade portal – so watch this space.”

She described demand as being high for villa holidays this year “with the privacy and space that they offer holding huge appeal for families and couples alike”.

Naylor-Vane added: “I know from talking to agents how popular the family-friendly villas are proving this year such as those at the lovely Rou Estate in north-east Corfu and our ‘family favourites’ – which come complete with toys, garden games and baby equipment.”
