Travel Counsellors releases travel inspiration film

A short film to inspire customers to relive their favourite travel memories and prepare to book again has been created by Travel Counsellors.

The five-minute film, which features words by poet and writer Tony Walsh, has been released to capture the imagination of customers and highlight the experiences travel professionals can create for their customers.

The ‘Postcards’ campaign is being used by the company and its franchisees to promote travel as a positive force for good.

The film has achieved the fastest email open rate of Travel Counsellors most recent campaigns, supported by dedicated social media assets for the company’s business owners to share with their customers.

The release coincides with the group reporting a buoyant staycation market from May onwards, and continued interest in travel to Greece for late summer with a 41% rise in bookings last week compared to the same time 2019.

The Maldives, UAE and the Caribbean feature heavily for winter 2021

Leisure booking rates last week were at 60% of the volume they were during the same period, pre-pandemic.

Travel Counsellors managing director Kirsten Hughes said: “A challenging 12 months has seen many of us recognise the simple activities we may have taken for granted before, such as being able to spend quality time away with family and friends.

“Our customers are frequently telling their Travel Counsellor that they’ve missed making memories and exploring the world with the people that mean the most to them, and our film aims to capture this spirit of adventure, reminding us all of what we have missed and what we can look forward to again.”
