A series of themed cruises from next summer are being introduced by Viva Cruises.
The smaller 88-passenger ship Swiss Ruby will enable themed itineraries to pass through narrow European rivers including the Neckar, Saar, Elbe, Weser, Havel, Meuse and Ems.
Historical and wine-themed sailings are among those on offer, including one involving a visit to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
Six different northern Germany itineraries will be offered in the late summer of 2023 including Berlin, Hamburg and Dusseldorf.
Four autumn wine-themed sailings have been scheduled between the German cities of Dusseldorf and Saarbruecken, as well as Saarbruecken and Stuttgart.
Prices for seven-night ‘Golden autumn in the vineyard’ itineraries start at £1,695 per person.
