Ambassador Cruise Line has launched a recruitment drive and separated the groups and trade sales teams, with the aim of ensuring each “has its own focus”.
The cruise operator believes this separation will boost day-to-day trading and enhance third-party relationships.
Ambassador is recruiting for a national sales manager, business development manager, a business development executive and a trade support assistant as it looks to double the number of staff in its trade team.
The line confirmed the trade team’s structure would be agreed once positions have been filled.
Nicola Harper joined Ambassador as its new head of distribution last month, but business development manager Moira Gregson will leave the business next week.
Chief commercial officer Phil Gardner said: “Ambassador is a business that has stepped out of start-up mode and firmly into a day-to-day operation with all the regular workings of a business built for success.
“Following the arrival of Nicola Harper as our new head of distribution last month, I’m delighted to announce our exciting plans as we look to ensure that Ambassador has the right commercial structure in place for distribution so that it serves our business in the most effective and productive way possible.”
On Gregson, he added: “I would like to sincerely thank Moira for the great work she has done during her time with us and wish her well for the future.”
