APT & Travelmarvel makes two senior sales promotions

APT & Travelmarvel has made two promotions within its sales team.

The river, small ship, escorted touring and small group journeys specialist has appointed Robin Griffiths (pictured, left) to national partnerships manager and  Becky Baumbach (pictured right) to national sales manager.

Griffiths joined the business in 2022 as a business development manager, before being promoted to national account manager.

He will start in his new role on September 2 and be responsible for “taking partnership to the next level” through additional marketing investments, product training, exclusive fam trips and new commercial opportunities.

Griffiths will also expand APT & Travelmarvel’s distribution through strategic partnerships to “further solidify” its position in the market.

Baumbach joined the company in 2019 as a business development manager and is credited with driving retail sales growth of 65% and homeworker sales growth of 67% year on year.

In her new position, she will develop three regional business development managers, oversee consortia account and relationship management and set quarterly sales targets.

The appointments come as APT & Travelmarvel has expanded offerings to include small group journeys for up to 16 guests, added new small ship cruises in Europe on MS Caledonian Sky and brought new luxury vessels into its fleet.

Brad Bennetts (centre), head of sales & business development at APT & Travelmarvel, said: “Robin and Becky’s promotions are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the remarkable results they’ve achieved. As we continue to expand our product offerings and strengthen our trade partnerships, their expertise will be invaluable in driving our brand forward.

“These changes reflect our commitment to supporting our trade partners and ensuring that APT & Travelmarvel remain at the forefront of the industry, as well as the emphasis we place on recognising our team members’ success and creating opportunities for internal progression within the company.”
