Barrhead Travel has reported high demand for last-minute Easter breaks.
More than 10% of bookings last week were for travel during April as families snapped up late deals, the agency said.
Popular destinations this spring include Florida, Tenerife, Costa Blanca and Dubai, with cruising from Southampton also among the top five holidays.
Barrhead Travel president Jacqueline Dobson said: “It is fantastic to see that demand for Easter getaways is still high – even at such short notice.”
The group said Easter departures have grown in popularity since 2019, adding that this year there has been a 20% increase in holidays travelling across the school break.
Dobson said: “The booking trends so far this year have indicated that people have the confidence to book much further in advance than last year, but there seems to be a flurry to confirm spontaneous trips away for the school holiday period.
“We’ve noticed some attractive pricing for very last-minute departures to popular European resorts as well as ex-UK cruising which has helped prompt bookings and there are even still some fantastic prices available for departures across the bank holiday weekend.
“Our customers are telling us that experiences are everything this year – they want to spend time together as a family and holidays are the perfect way to do this.
“It is very clear that holidays are being prioritised and, if people feel they are able to do so, they won’t hesitate to book multiple trips.”
