Flight Centre has launched a ‘Travel Runway’ online marketing campaign to showcase different holiday styles and the expertise of its agents around the world.
Inspired by the runways of fashion shows, the travel agency is featuring videos in various categories, such as beach, nature, food and wine, adventure and luxury.
For each runway, viewers will be encouraged to ‘shop the look’ to book their holiday, and can click on pop-up prompts to see tips.
Consumers can ‘Meet the Designers’ and watch videos of Flight Centre’s agents talking about how they used their outlook on travel to put these packages together.
UK agents featured in the campaign are Nikki Metcalfe, destination specialist, and Monica De Vito, global product designer. Other agents come from Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Liz Mathews, Flight Centre’s UK general manager, said: “Since scrapping the complex traffic light system in September, we’ve seen huge week-on-week increases in enquiries for overseas travel.
“In the last month alone we’ve seen spikes in enquiries in the US, Australia and South Africa, as they all became more accessible for Brits.
“We’ve mined the collective travel brain of Flight Centre’s holiday designers and our thousands of travel experts for Travel Runway to share an array of experiences from food and wine to luxury island indulgence, adventure and nature safaris.
“It’s a first for any travel retailer and is a true showcase of the amazing expertise and experience offered by Flight Centre.”
Last month, seven UK-based Flight Centre staff were selected to take part in another marketing campaign, called Experience our Experience.
