Half of TTNG retail members using new online training academy

The Travel Network Group (TTNG) has seen “significant uptake” in a specialist online training academy since it was established in March.

Half of the group’s retail members have utilised the training programme, created to help them attract new customers and manage existing clients following a turbulent two years in the industry due to the pandemic.

The training includes 20 structured modules for each member, featuring courses on social media, local marketing, email marketing and data, and online SEO.

Many travel businesses have been using the modules as a training pack for new starters and a development scheme for existing staff.

The academy features wellbeing resources and business skills training created in partnership with tourist boards, business partners and training team, with each module sitting on TTNG’s online platform, The Hub.

TTNG chief executive Gary Lewis said: “Our courses are made to be accessible at all times, with over 35% of members accessing the modules through their mobiles and 22% by tablet, allowing teams to gain knowledge whether they’re at home, on their lunch break, or out and about at work.

“Over the coming months we’re looking forward to growing our portfolio of content even further, with the aim of supporting our members upskill their teams with vital knowledge to help repair and revitalise the travel industry.”
