The apprenticeship scheme at Hays Travel has been named diversity and inclusion programme of the year at the North East Apprenticeship Awards.
Two of the agency group’s apprentices were also finalists in apprentice of the year categories.
Molly Richardson, from the York branch, was shortlisted for advanced apprentice of the year.

Jessica Oliver, from the customer services team at the company’s Sunderland head office, was up for intermediate apprentice of the year.
The inaugural awards event celebrates and recognises individuals and organisations involved in apprenticeships across the region.
Chief operating officer Jonathon Woodall-Johnston said: “I’m so proud of all our amazing apprentices and the incredible learning and development team who support them.
“Our apprenticeship programme is at the heart of our commitment to enabling young people to reach their potential and vital to the success of the business.”
A Teesside University spokesperson said: “It was great to see the nominated businesses in the northeast accessing and growing skills through apprenticeships, securing robust and diverse talent, contributing to growth, as well as the social and cultural success of our economy.”
