A bonus scheme for sales staff is being boosted by Hays Travel.
The new arrangement means individual bonuses paid monthly and team bonuses now paid bi-monthly instead of annually.
These are available to all sales staff, from apprentices to branch managers.
The UK’s largest independent travel agency group has boosted its bonus scheme by a multiple of 20 since the beginning of May.
As an example, staff at Hays Travel Teesside Park earned a total of £21,000 in bonuses since the start of May.
Branch manager Libby Gray said: “We always go the extra mile for our customers to ensure they leave the store with the perfect holiday, however having this increased bonus has certainly motivated us even further.
“It has meant so much to the team that they can put extra money away for Christmas to start their shopping early.
“It’s not all sensible saving though – we are also planning a night out at the end of the month to celebrate.”
