Homeworking agency InteleTravel is expanding its Ambassadors programme, which sees elite travel advisors supporting recruits who are new to travel.
Ambassadors are agents who have achieved a steady growth of sales and completed a training programme to help train, mentor and coach newer agents.
Twelve Ambassadors have progressed through the dedicated training programme, with a further nine in training.
Topics include Getting Started, Knowing your Back Office, Social Media Best Practices and Selling Groups.
In return for sharing their skills and knowledge with new agents, the ambassadors receive priority invitations to events, with registration fee costs paid by InteleTravel.
They also have a dedicated social media channel with monthly meetings and are recognised by their red InteleTravel jackets.
Ambassadors have a dedicated logo to use on their own collateral “to add credibility” when addressing their customers and agents.

Inteletravel reports ongoing growth in agent numbers
Emma Cressey (pictured below), from Emma Cressey Travel in Lincolnshire, has been an InteleTravel agent since January 2020 and qualified as an Ambassador in May 2021.
“Agents like to talk to someone who they can relate to, who has been in the same boat as them and can point them in the right direction,” she said.
“I also enjoy presenting at events. I didn’t have experience in the travel industry and I can show them that if you have passion in what you do, this business is accessible to everybody.”
Dani Brown (pictured), from Dani’s Destinations UK, also in Lincolnshire, has been an InteleTravel agent since April 2019 and an Ambassador since May 2020.
She is one of a small number of agents given ‘Master Ambassador’ status in February 2022 after performing extra duties to assist agents during the pandemic.
She spends on average five-six hours a week working as an Ambassador and also presents at events.
“I love wearing the red jacket,” she said.
“When a new agent that I’ve helped messages me and says they’ve got their first booking, you get an incredible buzz.”
Tricia Handley-Hughes, InteleTravel UK director, said: “Our ongoing growth in preferred partners provides so many opportunities for agents to improve their performance and this is reflected in our sales revenues.
“Individual achievement and development is infectious and motivates further engagement.
“Our Ambassadors are highly influential advisors who are passionate about travel and proud of the role they play. They make an important contribution in stimulating agents’ performance and they deserve the recognition and support.”
InteleTravel has more than 75 preferred partners and 11,524 advisors.
Bookings are up by 49% for the first six months of 2022, compared with the same period in 2021.
