Not Just Travel appoints head of experience and operations

Not Just Travel has appointed Laura Simpson as its new head of experience and operations.

Simpson, who spent nearly six years at Destinology, has also worked for Sprots Tours International during more than 15 years in the travel industry including roles at Cosmos and Rentalcars.com.

She will head up the operations team at the homeworking group, which has doubled in capacity in the last two months. Not Just Travel says it hopes to add further support structures for its agents as it moves forward with its growth plans.

Co-founders Steve Witt and Paul Harrison said: “Customers deserve the best – no matter if they book a one night stay, or a month-long round the world trip. Nothing is more important – both for our customers and our team.

“Our ambitious plans will make that customer and team experience even better. Laura’s hire is just the first step in a huge period of growth and investment for us. Over the next 12-24 months, there will be some very exciting things happening at Not Just Travel – we are focused on creating more wow moments for our customers. The first stage of this will be hiring the best and developing our amazing team.”

Simpson added: “I have a passion for customer service and processes, so I am looking forward to being able to get really stuck in to help our operational team, travel consultants and clients to provide the best possible customer journey and travel experience.

“The last two years in our industry have been the toughest we have ever known, but operationally we have learnt a lot and I believe we are seeing a built-up demand for safe and protected travel in 2022 and beyond.

“Many consumers are now once again looking for that confidence and reassurance of booking with a Travel Consultant to receive a personalised experience with someone always at the end of the phone for extra peace of mind.”
