Former Advantage Travel Partnership membership manager for the south Paul Moran has rejoined P&O Cruises after working for the line previously in a number of trade facing roles.
The industry stalwart returns as senior business manager to support newly promoted sales director Ruth Venn, having joined the agency consortium in 2019 after five years at travel recruitment business WorkAdvisor.
Moran will be supported by Cara Hayward, who has been promoted to the role of partnership development manager from her previous role as strategic partnership executive.
Hayward will be responsible for existing partnerships, as well as attracting new ones to help expand the company’s reach in preparation for the arrival of new ship Arvia in December. She will also provide travel agents with support to promote key campaign messages and brand updates.
Venn, who stepped up to the sales director role earlier this year following the departure of Nathaniel Sherbourne, said: “Paul’s return to the business and Cara’s promotion will bolster our ability to work hand in hand with agents and underpin our campaign communications.
“We have also increased support of the partnership helpdesk, reducing call waiting times and providing immediate assistance as required with agent bookings and after sales support.”
She added: “We recognise that with evolving guidance and protocols through the return to service period we need to be easy to do business with and immediately accessible to agents, so these changes should certainly achieve these aims.”
A dedicated trade promotion which runs until March 14 will offer fares starting at £549 per person for seven night holidays.
“With every booking made, agents can ‘spin the wheel’ and earn double Shine points for both select price and early saver bookings,” Venn said. “In addition, on Monday and Friday one lucky agent will win a bonus 500 Shine points so there’s everything to play for.”
Moran said: “I am delighted to have returned to P&O Cruises. In the time I have been away the brand has expanded and grown so much and with the arrival of Arvia later this year we continue the exciting journey.
“I am looking forward to getting out and meeting with agents to understand how we can support them further and capitalise on the demand we are seeing for holidays at sea.”
