Premier Travel’s Fakenham staff celebrated the store’s grand opening with “overwhelming support” from the north Norfolk community.
Fakenham mayor Angela Glynn cut the ribbon at the new premises on 1 Millers Walk on December 15, while locals popped in for treats and to wish the agents well.
Branch manager Sharon Wright said she was “very lucky” to be leading an experienced team, adding: “I’m thrilled to be part of a company that feels like family and offers unwavering support.”

Wright’s team, which has around 75 years’ collective experience, consists of Claire Howes, Catherine Brown, Lucy Hood and soon-to-join Serena Davies who will begin in January.
The store was most recently the town’s Post Office after Thomas Cook shut in 2019, with Davies having been among the Thomas Cook staff members.
Wright added: “My journey in this store began in 1995 for AT Mays, followed by many years with Thomas Cook, and now managing the Fakenham store feels like coming home.”
Guests at the grand opening included Premier Travel managing director Paul Waters, as well as Celebrity Cruises’ Peter Ryan, Titan Travel’s Sharon Angove and Premier Holidays’ Karen Milward.
