Princess Cruises reports ‘biggest-ever booking day’

Princess Cruises has reported its biggest-ever booking day in the UK after launching a £1 deposit deal for a 24-hour period this week.

Bookings rose by 13% compared with the line’s previous strongest booking day in 2019. There was strong demand for 2023 round-trip Southampton cruises on Sky Princess.

There was also a spike in bookings for fly-Mediterranean voyages and long-haul destinations such as Alaska, the Caribbean and Australia.

Princess’ new vice-president, UK and Europe, Eithne Williamson, outlined how demand for cruise holidays was “evidently back and better than ever”.

She said: “We want to thank all our travel agent partners for helping us achieve our best-ever booking day.

“It is thanks to their unwavering commitment and hard work that we were able to surpass our previous best booking day and we’re extremely grateful for their continued support.

“We are sure agents will agree that it is fantastic to see holidaymakers once again being able to plan ahead for future holidays in destinations both close to home and further afield.”
