Protected Trust Services to take on three World Travel Lounge branches

Protected Trust Services (PTS) is working with Book in Style, which trades as World Travel Lounge, to take on three of its branches and its tour operator brand Odisea.

PTS said Book in Style ceased to be a member on Friday. Travel Weekly has contacted the company for details of future plans for its remaining branches and its second tour operator brand, LGBTQ+ specialist Chillimix.

Odisea and the three branches, in Cleveleys, Fleetwood and Leyland, will now trade as NW Travel.

PTS chief executive Daniel Landen said: “PTS has been working with (Book in Style owner) David McDonald for some time and we are working on taking on three shops and luxury tour operator Odisea. All will be trading as NW Travel.

“As Protected Trust Services hold all the bookings through the CRM system, the handover of all consumers to date is simple and we can confirm that all consumers will be travelling.

“All suppliers have been notified and NW Travel looks forward to working with our trade partners in the future.”

In October last year, two World Travel Lounge branches in Preston and Blackpool were acquired by Hays Travel North West, reducing the former’s retail estate from 10 to eight.
