Quark Expeditions announces 10 winners of summer trade competition

Quark Expeditions has revealed 10 winners of its Ultimate Summer in The Arctic Sweepstakes competition, including two from the UK.

More than 3,000 travel agents form 57 different countries participated in the contest by earning points from activities like attending webinars, confirming bookings for the Arctic, sharing content and subscribing to Quark Expedition’s trade newsletter.

The prize is a spot on the 13-day Ultimate Arctic Voyage from Svalbard to Jan Mayen to Iceland in July 2025 which will be hosted by a member of Quark Expeditions’ sales team.

The two winners from the UK trade are Fiona Field from Travel Designed in Stevenage and Telina Lawrence from The Travel Professionals in Surrey, who will each get their own cabin on the voyage.

Nick Hindle, Quark Expeditions head of national business development, informed the agents of their win and said: “It’s really exciting times for the Quark UK trade growth strategy, and I look forward to continuing building strong relationships with existing and new partners as we head into Wave season.”

Quark Expeditions has “ambitious” growth plans for the UK trade and aims to offer more onboard trips throughout 2025 so more agents can experience the product firsthand to help them talk about polar voyages.

In early summer 2025, the expedition company plans to host agents on a ship visit and Becky Francis, EMEA sales director will return from maternity leave at the start of wave season to help “take trade to the next level” with the UK team.

This comes as Quark Expeditions launched new Arctic 2026 voyages this month, including a total solar eclipse and tour of Iceland by helicopter.

Sebastian Canape, Quark Expeditions director of trade marketing, said: “We were thrilled by the outstanding level of engagement in this contest and are even more excited to reward 10 deserving travel advisors with the Ultimate Summer in the Arctic prize.”
