Karen Tucker has been named by Royal Caribbean International as sales director for Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
She joined the company in 2003 and will step up from her previous position as head of UK field sales.
Tucker takes on the new role in December and will relocate to Oslo in the new year to join the line’s Nordic sales team.
She has worked in a variety of roles within the group’s air, product and sales departments and has built relationships across the business globally.
Tucker has most recently been essential in Royal Caribbean International’s return to service in Europe and Singapore.
As project lead, she worked closely with shipboard operations, Miami headquarters and international markets to restart cruise operations for four ships.
Magnus Wrahme, who has led the Nordic team since the end of 2019 and been with the company for 15 years, is leaving to join Volvo in Gothenburg.
Tucker will report to Ben Bouldin, vice president EMEA, who said: “Karen has played an instrumental role in executing our successful European return to service over the past year and a half and I have no doubt that she will bring the same management and structural expertise to our Nordic business.
“With an extensive Royal Caribbean experience Karen has a profound knowledge of the business and has the capabilities to drive our Nordic markets to new heights. I also would like to thank Magnus for his solid contributions to our company and wish him great success also in his new role ”
