Rush Insurance takes a punt on top-selling Hays Travel branch

Rush Insurance has treated the Aylsham branch of Hays Travel to a special day out – including boating on the Norfolk Broads – to celebrate the shop’s top sales performance.

The outlet won its prize after being named as the best-selling retail branch during Rush’s peaks campaign with Hays Travel in January and February.

After their day of boating on the nearby Broads, the agents enjoyed a night out with Jeff Rush, chief executive, and Louise Bates, sales and partnerships manager at Rush Insurance.

Bates said staff at the Aylsham branch of Hays Travel are “massive supporters” and often share TikTok videos about insurance.

“Their performance was incredible, with over 50% of their bookings having a travel insurance policy attached,” said Bates.

“The branch absolutely understands the importance of travel insurance and convey this message to their customers which shows in their results and this provides both the customers and the branch with peace of mind that they have protection.”

Branch manager Joanna Dobbie said: “We are all super proud to be the top performing branch. We honestly are made up and we feel fantastic.”

The agents also recorded a video to show the importance of selling travel insurance.

Commenting on the canoe trip, Bates added: “We were thrilled that everyone took part as some were nervous and some could not swim, so they overcame challenges to beat the fear and tick something off their bucket lists.

“The weather held out for us too, after so many days of rain, the sun shone on the water. It was perfect!

“Afterwards we all went to a local venue for food and drinks and table games – the fun never stopped. To be able to say thank you was an absolute pleasure.”

She added: “Travel insurance is a really important product, but some agents lack confidence because of the regulation and shy away from selling it.

“Here at Rush Insurance, we hope that with our training, encouragement, and element of fun that we bring, that the agents learn to embrace travel insurance and confidently sell all of its benefits.”

Last year, Hays Travel in Teesside Park, Stockton-on-Tees, won a night out as their prize from Rush Insurance for their parody rap video extolling the virtues of travel insurance.
