Tenerife Tourism Corporation joins Clia UK & Ireland

The Tenerife Tourism Corporation has become an associate partner of Clia UK & Ireland.

A long-term agreement has been struck in a bid to help boost the corporation’s profile among Clia’s community of cruise lines, travel agents and associate partners.

Tenerife will now be represented at Clia’s travel trade events, on its website and other published materials.

The membership forms part of the island’s new marketing strategy and positioning.

Andy Harmer, Clia UK & Ireland managing director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Tenerife Tourism Corporation to the CLIA family. The island is a firm favourite with cruisers and we’re all counting down to seeing ships visit this beautiful destination again.

“We look forward to supporting Tenerife’s tourism representatives, as they further build their relationship with the travel trade and gear up for the return of cruise visitors.”

David Pérez, Tenerife Tourism Corporation chief executive, said: “This is a brilliant opportunity to promote Tenerife as a destination for cruises and encourage passengers to experience the island’s diverse offering, even if it they only spend a few hours here.

“We look forward to working closely with CLIA and the trade, and welcoming cruisers to our beautiful island once again.”
