Clia has announced plans to run a Selling Cruise Day in Southampton later this year, with panel sessions featuring cruise experts.
The one-day event on November 4 will be hosted by Andy Harmer, the trade association’s UK & Ireland director, and Lucy Huxley, Travel Weekly’s editor-in-chief.
In a statement, Clia said the event would be “dedicated” to frontline travel agents.
Networking opportunities with cruise lines and partner sponsors would also be available at the event, which will be the association’s first in-person event since Covid-19.
Venues for both the conference and a dinner in the evening are currently being finalised, Clia added.
Registration will open in June. Clia agent members will have access to a discounted rate.
Clia was forced to postpone its flagship conference event last year following the coronavirus outbreak.
Hundreds of agents had been expected at the conference which is the UK’s largest travel agent event.
