InteleTravel in Ireland surpassed €1 million in sales in a month for the first time in February.
Average booking values rose 67% compared with the same month last year.
The bookings rise was attributed to more suppliers becoming available to the homeworking firm’s agents in its booking engine, a growing number of preferred partners and Classic Collection returning to Ireland after a 15-year absence.
The December appointment of Ann-Marie Durkin as InteleTravel’s first Ireland country manager has contributed to the growth in peaks
The company is also overhauling its back office and mandatory training modules, with a new programme about to be released.
UK and Ireland managing director Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “We knew Ireland would take a while to grow, but revenue has been increasing and the appointment of Ann-Marie to steer the growth has already had a big impact.”
