Team members from The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel, part of The Midcounties Co-operative, received flowers and chocolates on Valentine’s Day in recognition of their support.

As part of the ‘Share The Valentine’s Love’ initiative, all 165-plus homeworkers, as well as head office colleagues, were invited to vote for those in the business who had gone “above and beyond” to support them over the past year.

The three individuals with the most votes received the surprise Valentine’s Day delivery. They were Anna Langford, operations manager; Vicki Pichart, agent support manager; and Caroline Haddon, customer care advisor.

Furthermore, The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel notified everyone in the business who received a vote and shared the anonymous, heart-warming comments with them.

Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel said: “We have finished a crazy year where teamwork has been vital to our success and indeed sanity.

“It’s been great to see everyone actively helping and supporting each other over the past year, and we wanted to give our agents the opportunity to ‘Share the Love’ and say thank you to people in the business who might not even realise the difference they make.

“The nominations were a ray of positivity at a difficult time, and it was wonderful to see much appreciation and love being shared. Anna, Vicki and Caroline are all fantastic and worthy winners.”

Langford said: “I wasn’t expecting it as there are so many people across the team I work with doing wonderful things for our Personal Travel Agents and our colleagues. To be recognised for what I do in my role was extremely appreciated and humbling, and it certainly goes a little way to helping realise that the difficult and emotional calls I’ve had with colleagues and agents over these past few months have in some way helped that individual at the time.”

Pichart commented: “The past year has been tough for many people, but to hear I’m making a difference to my colleagues makes my job so worthwhile. Our PTAs are encouraged to nurture their personal relationships with their clients, and I feel exactly the same way about how I work with my team.”

Haddon added: “I love what I do within the customer care team, assisting in the queries from not only our agents but their customers as well. It’s so nice to have been appreciated in these difficult times.”
