Three agents join homeworker board of The Personal Travel Agents

The Personal Travel Agents – the homeworking division of The Midcounties Co-operative – has welcomed three new members to its homeworker board.

Agents Linda Reynolds, Carol Novelli and Dave Russo will serve for two years. They join existing board members Susanne Wren and Anna Howard, who are mid-way through their terms.

The homeworker board meets The Personal Travel Agents’ senior management team four times a year to discuss new ideas, share best practice, and sanction key decisions within the homeworking business.

The board represents the interests of the 170+ self-employed agents who run their businesses in partnership with Your Co-op.

Agents can join the board by standing for nomination and the finalists are voted for by the homeworkers.

Novelli, who has been running her Personal Travel Agent business for eight years, said: “I sat on the homeworker board four years ago and felt like I really did help to make a difference, so I took the opportunity to apply again.”

Reynolds has also run her Personal Travel Agent business for eight years. She said: “By pooling ideas with my homeworker board colleagues and sharing our knowledge, we want to make working in partnership with Midcounties the very best it can be.”

Russo, who has been a Personal Travel Agent for three years, added: “We’re self-employed, but you never feel alone and there is always someone there to be an advisor or a friend.”

Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents, said: “We highly value the work and input the board makes to company decision-making.”
