Responsible travel agency Travel Matters will hold its next retreat on the banks of Loch Rannoch in Perthshire in partnership with TV star Doon Mackichan.
Called Scotland Wild Swimming & Writing Retreat with Doon Mackichan, the holiday will take place on September 26-30. As well as being a writer and actor, Mackichan has also swum the English Channel.
Guests will stay at the four-star Loch Rannoch Hotel, which has a spa with a 12-metre heated pool, steam room and sauna.
Mackichan will host the writing workshops on three mornings, and she will join Travel Matters’ founder, Karen Simmonds, to guide guests on the morning swims in Loch Rannoch.
Wildlife in the area includes golden eagles, ospreys, otters, red squirrels and sea eagles.
The retreat costs £1,250 per person based on two sharing room, with all meals and activities included. It is £1,550 for single occupancy in a double ensuite room, with an early bird discount of 5% if booked by March 1.
The agency is also offering 10% commission for sales made by other agents.
