The Travel Village Group has made three “key” appointments to “enhance” the growth of its Holiday Village and Travel Village travel agencies.
Owners of the Blackpool-based business, Phil and Paula Nuttall, said the recent recruitment of Joy Woodside, Elliot Goldwater and Karen Hodgin to newly created positions “reinforced” the group’s commitment to trade partners and existing team.
Woodside joined from Destinology to take on the role of group product and commercial manager.
Goldwater and Hodgin have joined Holiday Village, to support homeworking agents. He moved from Jetset to become training manager and Hodgin joined from Thomas Cook and will head operations.
In a statement, the Nuttalls said Woodside brings experience of retail, luxury travel, ocean cruise and commercial skills to the group.
“We brought Joy into the business to reinforce and develop our relationships with the trade,” they said.
“Joy’s passion for travel is infectious; she is a leader and we are very excited to be working with her.”
Paula added: “We are extremely confident in the market returning strongly and it is quite clear that people are looking to book their holidays with a travel agent.
“Since the start of the pandemic there has been a real surge in people wanting to join the Holiday Village recognising the success of our business; we have high standards and a proven record of nurturing great talent.”
Goldwater will work with Paula and Woodside to ensure agents in the Holiday Village will receive bespoke business development support.
Hodgin will improve customer communication and lead the care team to deliver customer service to clients and the home-based travel experts.
Phil added: “Our family is continuing to grow and the Travel Village Group, supported by the existing management team, has something to offer all travel professionals with a positive can-do attitude, even in a pandemic.”
