Tui has opened a new retail store in The Springs, a retail and leisure complex just off Junction 46 of the M1 in Leeds.
It opened on Friday (May 24) with a day of activities, including the chance to win prizes and to meet Tui’s mascot Captain T.
The newest addition to the Tui retail network follows the opening of two shops last week, in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, and Lowestoft.
Also last week, Tui Group chief executive Sebastian Ebel outlined the benefits of a bricks-and-mortar presence and confirmed plans to open more stores.
The Springs branch is the fifth Tui store in Leeds and it features customer booths, a bureau exchange counter and a welcome desk.
There are eight staff working in The Springs store, six of whom have transferred from other Tui stores. One is a new agent and another is a former cabin crew member.

Shelly Rushton, store manager at Tui The Spring Leeds, said: “We were all so excited to see the queue of customers outside the doors and we couldn’t wait to welcome in the first customers come through when we officially opened.
“We’ve loved meeting everyone over the long weekend, and hearing how excited they are about the new store opening and having our experts on hand to help them book their holiday.
“We’ve noticed a lot of people are asking about last-minute holidays, in particularly wanting some great deals for over the next few weeks.
“There have also been lots of enquiries about good value summer package holidays for next year.”
Tui currently has 328 branches in the UK.
