Europe’s first Legoland water park to open in June 2020

The first brick has been laid at the upcoming Legoland Water Park at Italian theme park Gardaland, and is confirmed to open in June 2020.

The park will be Europe’s first Legoland water park and it will be aimed at families with children aged two to twelve.

Aldo Maria Vigevani, chief executive of Gardaland, said: “This is an important day because we are starting to lay the foundations of a project that has been underway for three years already. With an estimated investment sum of 20 million euros, Legoland Water Park at Gardaland will open in June 2020, covering an area of 15,000 square metres to the joy of countless young families, both Italian and from abroad.”

Luca Marigo, sales and marketing director for Gardaland, said: “It will constructed with millions of colourful Lego bricks, where children over two years old can have fun, unique Lego building experiences and interactive games.”

The new attraction will be located near Peppa Pig Land and Fantasy Kingdom at the park

Legoland currently operates water parks in Florida, California, Malaysia and Dubai.
